Privacy Policy

This policy explains what rncei.net collects when you volunteer to serve as an Election Inspector or Election Challenger, what we do with it, and how you stop it.

What We Collect

Information you give us. On the volunteer form we ask for your first and last name, phone number, email address, and ZIP code. You may also choose to give a street address and city, tell us which county or city/township you are willing to serve, how far you are willing to travel, whether you want Election Inspector or Election Challenger training, and any questions or comments you type into the form.

Information collected automatically. When you submit the form we record the IP address and browser user-agent of the submission, and the date and time. We use this only to detect automated abuse of the form. This site does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and it sets only one cookie — a session cookie required to protect the form against cross-site request forgery.

Why We Collect It

• To contact you about serving in the November 3, 2026 General Election and about training.
• To connect you with your county Republican Party, which coordinates volunteers locally.
• To submit your name to your city or township clerk as a person interested in serving as an election inspector, as permitted by MCL 168.673a.
• To keep the form from being abused by automated submissions.

Who We Share It With

We share your information with the Republican National Committee and its Michigan election integrity staff, with your county or congressional-district Republican Party organization, and — if you volunteer as an Election Inspector — with the city or township clerk and board of election commissioners for the jurisdiction where you would serve. A submission to a clerk is a public-facing government filing and may become subject to disclosure under Michigan’s Freedom of Information Act.

We also use service providers who operate infrastructure on our behalf, such as email and text messaging vendors. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with candidate committees or unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

How Long We Keep It

We keep volunteer records for the duration of the 2026 election cycle and for a reasonable period afterward for recruiting and compliance purposes. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we retain a minimal suppression record so that your choice is honored even if your name reaches us again from another source.

• Update your contact preferences or opt out at any time at rncei.net/preferences.
• Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts immediately.
• Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
• Ask us to correct or delete your record by emailing ccoss@gop.com.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Volunteer records are stored in an access-controlled database on private infrastructure, not on this web server, and the account this website uses can add and update records but cannot delete them. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every risk.

Children

This site is intended for adults eligible to serve under Michigan election law. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes and Contact
